The Group’s values are clear and transparent and form the foundation for conducting commercial activities in a responsible manner. PENNY IN ROMANIA Starting in 2005, we have invested in the development of local communities, with responsibility toward people and the environment. That was the year we opened our first stores in Romania and gained immediate confidence in our ability to successfully deliver our ambitious expansion plans. In 2020, 15 years after entering the Romanian market under the PENNY Market brand, we decided to accelerate our national expansion under the new, single brand PENNY. As a result, starting in 2020, we began a new strategic cycle based on seven development pillars: expansion, discounter profile and improved shopping experience, products from Romania, PENNY people, digitalization, sustainability, and integrated communication. 2025 was a special anniversary year – we marked 20 years of presence on the Romanian market. Our long-term strategy targets 1,000 stores and investments of 3 billion euros by 2035.
